Environmental advantages

Currently the third most widely used fossil fuel energy in the world (after oil and coal), natural gas is by far the least polluting energy: clean, colorless, odorless (but odorized for greater safety), it does not undergo any major transformations after extraction.

Lower greenhouse gas emissions

Carbon dioxide is one of the main greenhouse gases. Natural gas emits less carbon dioxide than other fossil fuels (25% less than heavy fuel oil, 10% less than LPG) and therefore has a lesser impact on global warming.

Less acid rain

The combustion of natural gas produces no sulfur dioxide (SO2), no dust, and releases less nitrogen oxides (NOx) than other fossil fuels. With so many assets, natural gas has a leading role to play amongst future energy sources.
